ulrich medical sponsors the German women's national sitting volleyball team

The medical technology company is supporting the German women's sitting volleyball team on its way to the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.

The sponsorship is set to last four years and is intended to help improve the conditions for the team. "With our commitment to the German women's national sitting volleyball team, we want to specifically promote inclusion and equal opportunities," says Christoph Ulrich, managing partner of Ulrich Medical. "We are impressed by the team spirit and performance of the players, who achieve great things under challenging conditions." In addition to its financial commitment, Ulrich Medical will also support the team via the company's social media channels, where it will report on its activities.

The importance of sponsorship should not be underestimated
Norman Thomas, the team's national coach, explains how important sponsorship is for the team: "Our players are not professionals. They all have full-time jobs and train in their spare time with enormous passion. Only through sponsorship are we able to cover travel expenses, for example, to participate in events such as the World Cup in Indiana in the USA in October 2025, our next major competition." There, decisive world ranking points will be awarded for qualification for the 2026 World Cup in China.

Support for volunteer activities
The team, including both the volunteer coaching staff and the players, completes around 70 training days per year in addition to competitions. Kirsten Kohn, assistant coach of the team and employee at Ulrich Medical, appreciates her employer's support for her volunteer work: "Ulrich Medical is very flexible and accommodating when it comes to working hours. This applies to special leave, but also to swapping my working days, as I work part-time. I can also take educational leave for further training as a coach. All of this is a great relief for me."
