Day-to-day work in CT is often defined by time pressure, which makes extensive and personal patient support difficult. When it comes to specific examinations, such as cardiac examinations, it is often a challenge to work efficiently with as little stress as possible.
The CT motion SPICY contrast media injector is a version of the CT motion that has been enhanced with new functions that offer impressive advantages for CT examinations using contrast media.
If high flow rates are required and/or if the contrast media is highly viscous, this may result in additional effort. This is where the injector can offer key support when conducting the examination.
Clinically essential scans can be carried out easily, reliably, and conveniently for specific procedures relating to the heart and extremities. Automatic media label recognition and data transfer save time in the documentation process.
This leaves you more time for what’s important – reliable contrasting and looking after your patients.
The CDadapt functionTM makes it possible to automatically reduce the contrast media density (e.g. for cardiac examinations). At the same time, costs are kept low because lower volumes of contrast media are required.
Various manual steps are no longer required thanks to the automatic scanning of media labels via barcode reader and the automatic data transfer of NaCl and contrast media parameters to the PACS and/or data management system. This saves time in documentation and reduces error sources. This function is an expansion of the ulrich medical RIS/PACS Interface.
Compatibility with 1 L contrast media offers the ideal media supply for high patient throughput. This means that a total of 4 L (2 x 1 L contrast media + 2 L NaCl) can be made readily available. The integrated heater improves contrast media viscosity and increases patient comfort.
For examinations with high flow rates and high contrast media viscosity, the injector can apply pressure of up to 22.4 bar for improved pressure and flow performance.
The intuitive traffic signal display and clear media volume display including the precise number of milliliters left makes for an efficient workflow. It also saves you money because the amount of contrast media for disposal is reduced to a minimum.

Even if your day-to-day radiology practice runs smoothly, there always comes a point when your contrast media container is empty. Then you can benefit from our Seamless function. The injection is continued automatically, with no interruptions, from the second identical contrast media connected to the system. This also reduces waste, helping to contribute to a more sustainable, cost-effective examination process.
The media connection points can be equipped with two different contrast media. If another contrast medium is required in the examination, you can simply switch to the second media connection point. Thanks to a special rinse program, there is no need to change the 24-hour pump tubing.
The use of contrast media with different active substances is also possible thanks to the special rinse program and without having to change the pump tubing.
