Sustainability affects us all.
As a manufacturing company, we also know that we have a responsibility in this respect.

At a time when environmental, economic and social responsibility are becoming increasingly important, we are trying to implement more sustainable processes and practices step by step. As a result, we review our diverse workflows in day-to-day business to make them visibly fit for the future. It is important to us to act responsibly over the long term and, for example, to conserve resources.

Efficient value chains

With the help of our own combined heat and power plant, we are able to recycle the waste heat from our cutting machines. The heat is transferred to the heating system, which is used to heat offices, among other things.

Alternative mobility solutions

We subsidize and support alternative means of transport through partnerships such as "JobRad". In addition, several e-charging stations are available for all employees on the company grounds.

Reduction of paper and toner

We have been able to steadily reduce our demand for paper and toner since 2018. As the number of employees increased, we have been using 30% less paper by 2024.

Mobile working

The proportion of employees with mobile workstations is steadily increasing. By eliminating the daily commute, emissions can be reduced and office space can be used efficiently. This enables multiple use of desks.

Digitalized documentation

In addition to the switch to the electronic instructions for use (eIFU), we are also making the majority of all other product documents available digitally. This makes it possible to decide on a case-by-case basis whether a printed document is required or a digital version is sufficient.

Waste separation and prevention

We focus on both waste separation and waste avoidance. Every little step counts: for example, waste garbage cans in staff offices are shared. This has made it possible to significantly reduce the consumption of bin bags in recent years - despite the increasing number of employees.

Sustainable corporate growth

Thanks to our steady growth, we are continuously using parts of the profit generated for reinvestments, thereby strengthening Ulm as a location for the future in the long term.

Lean management

Lean management has been an integral part of corporate policy since 2022. Our aim is to optimize and question business and value creation processes. At the same time, the use of resources should be regularly reviewed.

Social partnerships

We have been successfully working together with local social institutions for many years, such as the disabled foundation TANNENHOF and the DRK Kreisverband Ulm e.V.. For example, an annual blood donation day takes place at ulrich medical.

Employee inventions

All our employees are invited to submit their ideas for savings and improvements for the benefit of the company via the in-house idea management system. The reward for contributions related to sustainability is 25% higher.
