Dorsal stabilization of the thoracic to lumbosacral spine

Looking for a screw-rod system for dorsal stabilization of the thoracic to lumbosacral spine to offer your patients a customized procedure tailored to their needs?

uCentum is a complete system for dorsal surgical stabilization, fixation and correction of the adult human thoracic and lumbar spine, if necessary including the sacrum.

The system can be used in open and percutaneous applications and can be used in conjunction with the Brainlab Navigation in both cases. uCentum can also be combined with the cervicothoracic screw-rod system neon³ and uBase iliosacral screws to enable treatment of the entire spine.

All of the screw versions can be combined freely and used to some extent with the same instruments. Thanks to the wide range of implant components, it is possible to offer individual adjustment to the patient.

The cannulated uCentum screws enable secure and precise placement via guidewires as well as a minimally invasive application.

The system is characterized by a slim and low-profile screw heads. This provides space for bone apposition and good visibility for fusion control.

uCentum^TM features

Complete system

The uCentum system can be used both openly and percutaneously and, in addition to the four types of screws, offers a wide range of lengths in order to fulfill individual requirements. Choose from various diameters measuring between Ø 4.5 mm and Ø 11.5 mm.

Friction head

The polyaxial uCentum screws have a screw head whose position remains stable and can only be changed with little force.

Fixed-angle and variable reposition

Looking for an implant that enables a wide range of reposition options for the vertebral body? Our pre-fixation uCentum screws make it possible to distract or compress either at fixed or variable angles.

Cement augmentation through the screw

The cannulated screws in our uCentum system (apart from screws with Ø 4.5 mm) all feature perforations that enable cement augmentation through the previously implanted screw.

Instruments

Guidewire holder (optional)

The guidewire holder prevents the guidewire from being pushed forward while the screw is being screwed in. When used correctly, it represents an important safety feature of the system. Using the guidewire holder is recommended, in particular for bicortical screw placement.
