Artus can be employed for anterior fixation to mechanically support the cervical spine (C2 to T1). There are 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-level standard plates as well as 1- and 2-level midline plates available to allow stabilization of a different number of levels.
The plates are equipped with a blocking mechanism to prevent the screws from loosening. The same screwdriver is used to insert the screws and to close the blocking mechanism.
For the fixation of the plates to the bone, fixed and variable screws in self-tapping, self-drilling, and self-tapping/self-drilling versions can be used. The screws are available with a diameter of 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm in lengths from 12 mm to 18 mm.
There are sterile packed standard and midline plates in different lengths and with different numbers of levels available for the stabilization of multiple spinal segments. The portfolio includes 1- to 4-level standard plates with lengths from 12 mm to 84 mm as well as 1- and 2-level midline plates with lengths from 12 mm to 46 mm. This diversity allows selection of implants to suit anatomy and supports individual adaptation to the patient-specific anatomy.
The Artus system offers a wide range of bone screws for cervical spine stabilization. There are fixed and variable screws available in self-tapping, self-drilling, and self-tapping/self-drilling versions.
All the implants of the Artus system are available sterile packed and simplify documentation of the implants used in the implant pass and their traceability thanks to the self-adhesive patient label enclosed with the sterile packaging.
The clearly organized instrument tray, laid out in the order of the surgical steps, supports simple and intuitive application of the system. The clear arrangement of the instruments helps make preparation in the operating room more efficient, for example when passing the instruments.
